Dear fellow golfers interested in helping a helpless family, and to Mike:
This event was well conceived, and certainly provides an opportunity for
fellow Americans to do something in this time of overwhelming powerlessness.
I certainly know what it feels like to be powerless, and this occurrence in
our homeland, the land of the free and civilized, is an inestimable cause of
a feeling of powerlessness and helplessness. Certainly what the majority of
us go through on a daily basis cannot even begin to compare with the
absolute horrifying feelings of helplessness that those experienced and are
experiencing with the loss of a loved one in this tragic event. Mike came
up with a fantastic idea, where we can all enjoy partaking in a successful
venture out of the pure desire to help those that feel and are experiencing
our worst nightmare.
If any good comes from my participation, and hopefully my efforts in getting
others to participate along with me, that is the true benefit; hopefully
this idea will carry on to other Americans, who can set up and accomplish
the same kind of thing. All of this, in edition to the chance of playing
some great golf, and maybe winning as a team! I love to win...and more than
that I love golf...and more than that I love to be of some use. We can all
come together as individuals and make a difference as a whole. My pastor
calls this synergy.
In any case, thanks for the opportunity to be of some good in this National
crisis, to look at it in the broadest light.
If I can be of some help in ways I'm not yet aware of, please contact me at
