We will never forget the tragic day of September 11, 2001. As time has gone by, now we are hearing about the personal stories of these victims and the burden that families have been left with. And every time I read a story or see a special report on the television about a particular family, I can't help but wipe my tears. Unfortunately, we will keep hearing these stories for a long time.
When I was told about this golf tournament and how the money was going to go directly to a family or families I thought it was a great idea. I am now involved, calling upon friends, family and co-workers to participate, give donations or simply a referral. The response has been great. Not only do they sign up but they also get involved by calling upon other golfers or friends that would like to help out and then they call other friends and a chain reaction starts. The goal of creating a chain reaction has been reached. I am a great believer in helping others especially here in our homeland. Even if we only touch one or two families a difference will be made. So now when I listen to another story hopefully I will hear, "An organization called 911 Help America put a golf tournament together and donated money to our family" and I will wipe my tears of happiness knowing that we made a difference.
