    ~~~  What We Hope to Accomplish  ~~~
    We would like to help a family that has lost a loved one as a result of the September 11th bombing of the WTC.

    There has been a tremendous outpouring of donations on behalf of the victims of 9/11 to some of the larger charity organizations (such as the United Way and Red Cross -- two wonderful organizations). However, in many cases there have been delays getting the money to the people and much frustration has developed because of this.

    We, as a small group, can put on an event, raise some money, and give it directly to one or more of the families -- a direct gift from those of us who participate and organize.

    In addition, if things go right, we hope to show other groups how they too can do the same thing. We will attempt to chronicle our experience from start to finish through this web site.

    This site is evolving daily. It was developed quickly and on volunteer time. Please contact should you have any feedback.

    We are doing this because we feel there is a need to do something. Watching all that has been happening has left many people with a feeling of helplessness. This need not be. By the time we finish, many people will be involved in this event and everyone will have contributed something.

    Together we can make a difference.
